{"id":2997,"date":"2016-03-11T12:34:21","date_gmt":"2016-03-11T11:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/Giffnock\/?p=2997"},"modified":"2016-03-11T12:34:21","modified_gmt":"2016-03-11T11:34:21","slug":"rouken-glen-reminiscence-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/Giffnock\/2016\/03\/11\/rouken-glen-reminiscence-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Rouken Glen Reminiscence event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rouken Glen Park is holding a reminiscence session to add local people\u2019s memories to a new history booklet about the park called \u201cRouken Glen Park Rediscovered\u201d being compiled by volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for people with memories and old photographs of the park to come along and talk about them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do you have a good story about Rouken Glen Park?<\/li>\n<li>Did you visit Rouken Glen Park on a school or Sunday outing?<\/li>\n<li>Do you remember events in the park during the 1950s -1990s?<\/li>\n<li>Do you remember The Glen motorboat or the Rouken Rally?<\/li>\n<li>Come and discuss your memories.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals will be filmed as part of video about the park and\u00a0 their words will contribute to a history booklet about the park.<\/li>\n<li>Group transport available.<\/li>\n<li>A buffet lunch will be provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Booking required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event will take place in the Pavilion Visitor Centre, Rouken Glen Park, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock G46 7UG on Friday 18 March at 11 am \u2013 2 pm.
