The Autistic Collective is delighted to announce our next event, open to parents and family carers in East Renfrewshire<\/b>, and we would be most grateful if you would kindly pass the information onto families of pupils at Eastwood High School.<\/p>\n

Autistic children\u2019s wellbeing practitioner and autism specialist, <\/span>Jodie Smitten<\/span><\/b> joins us on <\/span>Wednesday 28th February 1.00 – 3.00pm<\/span><\/b> to explore <\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/b>Challenges faced in school affecting the mental health of Autistic children\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

This Zoom session will take a deep dive on challenges brought about by the school environment, with the aim of empowering parents to advocate for their child. Covering topics such as:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Autistic Masking<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Autistic Burnout<\/p>\n

The event is part of our funded series of empowerment workshops for parents and carers, <\/b>with longtime collaborator and friend Lynsey Stewart, L-Mac Consultancy<\/b>.<\/p>\n
