As the Summer holidays draw closer, many children will be spending more time than they usually do using their smartphones, tablets and laptops. While this “smart” technology gives children and young people access to new and exciting ways of communicating with each other, it can also present adults with the challenge of keeping abreast of developments on social media and making sure that their children are safe online.
respectme, is offering FREE practical Online Safety Training for adults within the Glasgow area during July and August. The training will run from 10.00am – 12.00pm.
The training is designed to increase adults’ awareness of bullying and the other risks and challenges children and young people face online. This training includes a practical, hands-on session, which will take you through the process for setting and managing profiles and privacy settings on social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram, to help ensure children and young people’s online safety.
