Planning for choices and change is a key element of the Health and Wellbeing curriculum. It focuses on the world of work, future choices and the ability to make decisions. Throughout the school year, children experience activities which enable them to develop a variety of skills including contributing ideas, identifying their own skills and cooperation.
In February, the school and nursery will focus on this area of the curriculum. Following the success of last year’s Career Month, we would once again like to ask for assistance from the parents of Eaglesham Primary School. Our pupils would benefit greatly from meeting members of the local community and learning about their jobs and the skills that are required to complete them. We know that the parents at Eaglesham Primary School are very talented and our pupils could learn a lot from them so would appreciate any help with this. If you would like to volunteer to talk briefly to a class about your job please contact the school office or myself by Friday 17th January 2013.
