P5a Class Blog 1st May 2020

Well it’s been another busy week for Primary 5a!  Here are some of the exciting things the children have been doing:

Humza: I took part in two online Lego workshops.  I made a space station, alien, planet and spaceship.

Elise: I coloured in a t-shirt with fabric markers.  I drew the word ‘happy’ with a rainbow to keep me feeling motivated.

Noor: I have been using a Carol Vorderman book to improve my literacy.

Menahil: I have been using a textbook to help me to practise my maths.

Adam H: This week I have been practising the piano. I should have been doing my grade 1 exam but it was sadly cancelled! My favourite piece is ‘Egyptian Level’

Charlotte: I learned how to sing ‘From Now On’ from The Greatest Showman. I recorded it to be part of a virtual choir, I will hopefully show everyone the video when it has been put together.

Super work everyone! I hope you have a super weekend.  I can’t wait to see what you get up to next week.

This week, P5a were very busy! As well as doing lots of cool things on their Google Classroom, they also did some other exciting activities with their families.  Here are some things they wanted to share with you:

(Humza) I made french toast and started fasting with my family as part of Ramadan celebrations.
(Adam B) I made a loaf of soda bread and some macaroons.  I also made a lego aircraft carrier with my brother and flew a kite.
(Elise) I made kebabs and chocolate brownies, I have also been having great fun with my sprinkler.
(Muhammad) My dad cut my hair!
(Noor) I designed a t-shirt with my name on it.
(Ailsa) I made a poster for my dancing. We slept in our tent once and we are having lunch in it every day. When we were out on a walk we saw a butterfly, it let us get very close without flying away.

What a creative and talented bunch you all are! I look forward to seeing what you get up to this week.
