In Science we have been learning about the different parts of a flower. We have dissected flowers, played games, used microscopes and even created a collage!
- We were learning about the sepals, stamen, stigma and style. We pulled apart a flower to see these parts and labelled them on a whiteboard – Olivia
- I enjoyed playing ‘Flower Frenzy’ where you had to roll a dice and earn different parts of a flower. It helped me to draw a diagram of a flower with the individual parts – Harry
- It was fun pulling apart the flower, finding all the different parts & labelling them – Iain & Jessica
- Labelling the parts of a flower.
- We put a flower into coloured water to see if the petals changed colour. It was really fun but unfortunately it didn’t work. We will try again with a different kind of flower – Beth
- We pulled the flower apart and laid them out like a flower on the whiteboard. This meant you could see where they came from on the flower and made a real life flower diagram – Holly
- We organised the parts of a flower on the whiteboard then labelled them. It was fun to see all the parts of a flower and it helped me to learn as I could see all the parts properly by myself – Lucy
- We had to dissect the flower and put it into the groups and write the word for the parts next to them – Calum
