Crookfur Primary and the Week of Maths

This week in Crookfur was ‘Maths Week’ and we were treated to a good number of activities.

Throughout the week, one of the teachers was tasked with creating maths mayhem around the school. This included leaving mathematical jokes on walls, spreading maths equipment in classrooms and making a giant calculation in the hall using the PE equipment. Most of us were surprised to discover that it was Mrs Watson all along…

The Primary 7’s were asked to teach P3-6 how to use the Micro:bits, which we have been using for coding. The younger pupils really enjoyed getting to use them.

On Thursday, we got to play lots of different maths games in the hall. We enjoyed learning how to play Sudoku and using a fidget spinner to choose calculations to carry out.
