We will contact you early in the session to let you know what additional support we are able to offer your child. In the meantime, the Support for Learning team continue to provide support online through Google Classrooms, for the children they currently work with. This approach will continue to be monitored and altered to as we work towards children attending school full time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>My child receives support from a Pupil Support Assistant (PSA). How will that look next year in light of the need for social distancing?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pupil Support Assistants (PSAs) will be working in school to support all children with their learning. They will continue to work closely with your child\u2019s class teacher and be deployed appropriately to support your child\u2019s needs safely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>My child receives support from an outside agency in school, will this still happen next session?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Any additional support your child receives continues to be a priority for all agencies involved. We continue to liaise with outside agencies about how and when support will be safely delivered in school. We will keep you fully informed throughout.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>My child is awaiting an assessment for Dyslexia, what support will be put in place for them?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All children will continue to be supported in school to meet their needs. In Carolside, we always support your child\u2019s needs and not the \u2018diagnosis\u2019 so the support your child already receives will not change. As a parent, we know assessments are important to you and we continue to explore how they can be completed within the safe parameters of social distancing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>My child has a split placement or Outreach with another education provision (e.g. CCC.) How will this be managed next session?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0We continue to liaise with other educational establishments like PSADU and CCC about the arrangements for next session, along with the Educational Psychologist. We will confirm the arrangements with you as soon as we hear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>I have concerns about my child\u2019s learning, who do I contact?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At Carolside, we are always here to support you and your family. Firstly, we encourage you to discuss any concerns you have with your child\u2019s class teacher.\u00a0 The school\u2019s ASN coordinators , Gayle McDonald ( P2- P7)\u00a0 and Stephanie Hughes (nursery &#8211; P1) are also available to discuss and support your child\u2019s needs. For example, we can lend Chromebooks and explain how to download software which might be of benefit. What can I do to help?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s normal for your child to feel apprehensive, worried or anxious about returning to school after a long period of school closure. Please be assured that our priority as the children return to school is their wellbeing, including their mental health, and we will be putting strategies in place to support this. Enhanced hygiene procedures and social distancing will be in place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will my child still have access to resources (e.g. ICT)\u00a0 to support their learning?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Yes, all resources that your child uses to support their learning in school will continue to be available.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Will my child still attend their Additional Support for Learning groups in August?
