Parent Council

What is the Parent Council?

The Parent Forum is the body that was set up in Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006 and it consists of all the parents who have a child at the school.

The Parent Council is the committee appointed by the Parent Forum to run matters on its behalf.  We have 2 representatives from each year group and 2 representatives from the nursery.

What does the Parent Council do?

Parental involvement in school life is a key ingredient to children’s learning.

The aim of the Parent Council is to:-

  • Represent the views of parents
  • Promote effective communication between the school, parents, pupils and the community
  • Report to the Parent Forum

Please contact the Parent Council via e-mail or via your year group representative.

We look forward to hearing from you.  Help us to help you to get involved!
