National Galleries of Scotland Visit Carlibar

All Primary 5 and 6 children enjoyed a free clay workshop delivered by staff from the National Galleries of Scotland. They learned about a painting from the National Galleries collection and then created their own clay kings and queens. The standard of artwork produced is of a very high standard. The excellent behaviour and interest shown by our children during the workshops was also mentioned by the visiting staff.

The children and their work have featured in the Barrhead News and the Extra.  We also recieved a letter from Jim Murphy, MP congratulating the school for taking part in this very worthwhile art experience.  The leter will be put on display in the school along with photos of the children’s work.
