Author Visit

audienceauthordancing dogWe received a visit from Badger the Mystical Mutt along with his authors, Lyn McNicol and Laura Jackson. Children from P.1 to P.4 found out about Badger through a reading session and a dance from the main character! Badger got up to all sorts of mischief and the children had to help Laura keep him out of trouble. The visit was organised to introduce the children to the character as well as encourage them to keep reading…

We now have a set of Badger books for our library. Look out for them coming home when your child visits the fiction library with their class.

Primary 7 are in the news

Primary 7 have been taking part in the BBC’s School Report event today.  They created a range of news articles and video reports during the course of the day.  Some Primary 7 reporters visited the site of the new ASDA store and their photograph has appeared on the BBC website. Scroll down the live news feed until you get to 15.41 to see the Carlibar image.   Click here to visit the BBC school report site.
