It was lovely to see so many of you come along to support us.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported our recent fundraiser. We have raised a fantastic £631.91 for the Beatson. the final total will be slightly higher than this as there was a sealed collecting can that was being used at the table selling wristbands and stickers. We will let you know when the Beatson tell us how much was in the tub. Mrs Macintyre collected the cheque from Primary 7 pupils on Thursday night. She was very touched by the generosity of the Carlibar community and she will give the cheque personally to the charity.
Our stalls also raised an additional £495 for the school fund. This money goes towards a wide range of items for the children. The school fund is also used to subsidise the cost of school visits for classes, special events throughout they year eg parties and prizes, awards and purchases for golden time activities, baking etc.
Thank you so much for all of your donations and support on the day.
We are hoping that we will feature in the Barrhead News as the photographer visited on the day.
Thank you to everyone who brought a 5p coin to school today. We raised £22.10. This money will be spent buying materials to repair our garden tool store.
Thank you for collecting the Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers for us. We collected enough tokens to get some new garden tools especially made for younger children. Here are some of the tools that your vouchers enabled us to get for the school.
The pupil fundraising group have organised another charity event. All children can bring in their coins to donate on Friday they will use these to cover maps and then count the total amount of donations. It is a wear as you please day – bright colours please and as usual no football team clothing.
All funds raised will go to support the work of the Betty Cunningham International Trust in Dambo School in Kaponda, Malawi.
Primary 7 children would like to thank everyone for supporting their Bring and Buy sale today. Lots of toys, books and games were handed in during the week, the selection of cakes for sale was mouthwatering. They have made a fantastic £287.14 towards the cost of their leavers celebrations in June.
We would like to thank everyone for their tremendous generosity again this year. The activities that took place in the family centre and in school today has raised a total of £700 so far. This money will be split equally between two very worthwhile causes
Save the Children are working as part of a team of charities who are supporting the Disasters Emergency Committee Typhoon Haiyou appeal. They are trying to raise as much money as they can to support the victims of this natural disaster in the Philippines. Food, shelter and medicines are urgently needed in all of the affected areas. Children are going to be particularly affected, with so many having been swept away in floods, injured by collapse of buildings and separated from their families in the chaos. Thousands are expected to be left homeless.
We would like to thank everyone who baked for us today, gave in donations or gave their children money to spend at the cake sale. The staff coffee morning and children’s cake sale raised £408. We still have to add on all of the money taken after 3 o’clock from parents collecting their children from school and the family centre. The total raised will be posted next week when all money has been banked. Thank you again for your generosity. Our fundraising group should be really proud as this was their very first event.
We would like to thank you for supporting our main fundraising events of the year. We had a tremendous turn out for our Christmas Fair on Friday 30th November. Special thanks to everyone who donated items for sale, the parent group who made a range of fantastic Christmas crafts to sell and everyone who bought a ticket.
The coffee morning on Tuesday the 4th was also very well attended and we had more local businesses with stalls this year. Special thanks to all of the CCC and nursery children who made Christmas items to sell on the day. Watch out for a future post with details of exactly how much we have raised. All money goes into our school fund which is used to provide treats, additional resources and contribute towards the cost of educational visits for all of our children.
