Argos partnered with Symantec to provide Norton\u2019s Family Software to parents for free (no purchase necessary).\u00a0 The software allows parents to block access to certain types of sites and monitors use.\u00a0 It works on PCs and laptops and more to the point, on smartphones and tablets.\u00a0 I\u2019m told that one of the most popular questions from the October national campaign was from parents worried about how they can control their children\u2019s use of mobile devices and how they would know what type of sites their kids were going to and this software fits that bill.\u00a0 Features include:<\/p>\n

– Android<\/a> smartphone<\/a> monitoring \u2013 to see how children are using their phones<\/p>\n

– Web monitoring and blocking \u2013 tracks what websites your child visits<\/p>\n

– Time limits \u2013 manages the time children can access the internet from any device<\/p>\n

– Social networking monitoring \u2013 keeps an eye on your children\u2019s activity<\/p>\n

– Search monitoring \u2013 updates what your children are searching for<\/p>\n

– Email alerts \u2013 alerts you when your children do something they shouldn\u2019t, like try to access blocked sites.<\/p>\n
