We visited the church in Giffnock because we have been learning all about Advent in RME.
Jake, the minister, showed us round the church. We were told a lot facts about the and then we had a quiz and played games in two different groups.
it was really good fun!
Today Primary 6 visited Central Mosque because we have been learning all about it in RME.
Umair – ‘I learned that you always have to face Mecca when Muslims pray.’
Saman – ‘I learned that you always have to take your shoes off before you enter the prayer room because it keeps it clean.’
Alice – ‘I found it interesting that Muslims have to wash before you pray.’
Aidan – ‘I learned that there are different times that Muslims pray.’
Jack – ‘I learned that there is no reason for the designs inside the Mosque.’
Katherine – ‘I learned that men and women pray in different parts of the Mosque.’
Kieran – ‘I learned that Muslims don’t sit down the whole time they are praying.’
After lots of practise it was time to perform this year’s P1-4 Nativity: It’s a Party!
