Outdoor Learning

It was wonderful to see such lovely weather on Friday, so we decided to take advantage of it and have some outdoor learning.  Some of us went  to the school garden to make repeating and symmetrical patterns using leaves, sticks  and stones. The rest of us were learning to measure distance in metres and centimetres by throwing bean bags and then we used a trundle wheel to find out how far we had thrown them.

Katherine – I found it fun going into the garden making my patterns and I also spotted a ladybird!

Umair – I liked making the repeating patterns.

Rayyan – I threw my beanbag 12 metres!!!!

Yasmin – I really liked making my pattern and seeing a ladybird so close up.  It had a symmetrical pattern of spots!

Shazil – I threw my beanbag 8m which is 800 cm.DSC04396 DSC04397 DSC04398 DSC04399 DSC04391 DSC04392 DSC04394 DSC04395
