Homework Week Beginning Monday 19th November 2018

Literacy

Authors- Read to end of chapter 6

Illustrators – Read to the end of chapter 4

Publishers – Read to the end of Chapter 7

Your Literacy homework is to write a 100 word summary of the chapters that you have read this week.  Think about the main characters, the setting, the sequence of events and any feelings.  Remember you will need to plan this carefully to ensure that you have included enough detail but it is not too short either!

You have also to fill in the First Ministers Reading Challenge booklet about what you are reading about at the moment (Pg.7) and set yourself a challenge on Pg.4.

Maths

Please complete the online homework activity on Sumdog.

Also this is East Renfrewshire Sumdog competition week.  You need to play for an hour or so during the whole week period to get a competitive score.  We are aiming to have a high ranking in the competition!

Road Safety Week

Road Safety Week is this week.  The theme this year is Bike Smart.  Bike Smart aims to raise awareness about the importance of being safe while cycling, the dangers cyclists face on the roads, and what children want so they can cycle safely in their communities.  The JRSOs will share more information about this and a competition they would like to lead at assembly.

Book Week Scotland

Braidbar are also celebrating book week this week.  P.7 will be visiting P.1 to read and share some stories to them on Friday from the p.1 Book bug Bags.
