Our Egyptian Shadufs

We have really enjoyed learning about  Ancient Egypt.  We were set a challenge to  design and build a Shaduf.  A shaduf was used in Ancient Egyptian times to  collect water.  The water was taken from the River Nile and was used for a variety of purposes such as cooking, drinking and watering the crops.  It was lovely to see all our different ideas and the recyclable materials that we used in our designs.
