Magnets

Our science topic this term has been magnets.  We have really enjoyed learning all about them.  We investigated magnets at home and found lots of places where magnets are used.  It has been a really good topic because we have been able to do lots of activities and investigations.  We made a magnetic fishing game, investigated which poles attract and which ones repel, made a compass to show north and this week we experimented the force of different magnets.

It was fun doing the repelling and attracting activity.  We learned that if two poles the same they repel and if they are different they attract.

We liked making a homemade compass.  Very useful if you get lost!
