If you missed the presentation the key messages were:<\/p>\n

Practice Expedition – Thurs & Fri 24th & 25th April<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. DOFE students are out of school on the 24th & 25th April to complete their practice DOFE expedition. Students are required to make their own way to Strathaven (ML10 6 DU) on Thurs, 24th April for 9.30am. They should come prepared for a day of hillwalking including bringing all of their kit, plenty water, lunch, snacks, waterproofs, a hat, sun cream (see kit list below).<\/li>\n
  2. The expedition kit collection date is Tuesday, 22nd April from 4pm – 5pm.<\/strong> Kit is issued from the Fairweather Hall (near Asda in Newton Mearns). On collection of the kit, students are required to hand in a \u00a350 deposit in a sealed envelope with the students name written on the front. The deposit can either be in \u00a350 cash or\u00a0 a cheque made payable to East Renfrewshire Council.<\/li>\n
  3. Students will need collected from Williamwood High School on Friday, 25th April from 2pm onwards. Students will message parents\/carers when nearing Williamwood High School.<\/li>\n
  4. Students will need to return their kit in on Tuesday, 29th April at 4pm.<\/strong>\u00a0Students should clean and dry all kit to ensure they do not lose their deposit. All tents should be wiped down with a damp cloth then hung up to dry . All Trangia stoves should be scrubbed clean using a brillo pad.\u00a0 Trangia stoves should not<\/strong><\/span> be put in a dishwasher. All sleeping bags should be washed and dried.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Assessed Expedition – Thurs & Friday 8th & 9th May<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Students should meet staff at Barrhead train station at 830am on the Thursday morning. Students do not<\/strong> need to buy a train ticket.<\/li>\n
    2. Students will travel to Drumfrochar train station, with staff, where their assessed expedition commences.<\/li>\n
    3. Students will return to Barrhead train station on Friday, 9th May at around 4pm, where they can be collected or dismissed.<\/li>\n
    4. Students are responsible for all the kit that they borrow. They should wipe down their tent with a damp cloth then hang it up to dry. Their Trangia stove is scrubbed clean using a brillo pad. Trangia stoves should not<\/strong><\/span> be put in a dishwasher. Their sleeping bag should be washed and dried.<\/li>\n
    5. All kit should be collect from the Fairweather hall on Tuesday, 6th May from 5pm – 6pm.<\/li>\n
    6. All kit should be returned to the Fairweather hall on Tuesday, 13th May from 4pm – 5pm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      DOFE Progress<\/strong><\/p>\n

      All DOFE students should have all three sections (Physical, Skill & Volunteering) fully completed by the April expedition.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n
