\"\"<\/a>This message is for Duke of Edinburgh students who started DOFE in Sept 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DOFE Bronze award students have the opportunity of attending a modified DOFE Expedition on Monday & Tuesday, 21st & 22nd June.\u00a0<\/strong>The expedition will consist of two days of walking, without <\/strong>any camping or overnight stay.<\/p>\n

In order for students to be eligible for this expedition, students must<\/span> <\/strong>have completed the physical, skill and volunteering sections AND<\/strong> <\/span>have all of their evidence, photos and assessor’s reports uploaded into their edofe accounts.<\/p>\n

The Expedition<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students eligible to take part in the expedition will:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u00a0<\/strong>need to be able to get themselves to\/from the Whiteleas Windfarm on both the Monday and Tuesday. Unfortunately we are not able to offer any form of transport.<\/li>\n
  2. The students will start and finish each day in two different<\/strong> areas (all within the Whiteleas windfarm).<\/li>\n
  3. Students will arrive at the agreed starting point ready to walk in groups. They will be supported by a dofe leader who will show the group how to use a map, route card and a compass.<\/li>\n
  4. Students are required to come suitably dressed for the weather (ie suncream and waterproofs).<\/li>\n
  5. Students will require a lunch and plenty water.<\/li>\n
  6. There will be no camping or cooking equipment issued.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. The final cost of the expedition is still to be agreed, but it could \u00a360 per student.\u00a0 This would be paid through ParentPay. I will clarify the cost as soon as I can.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Any student struggling to complete their DOFE Award should speak with Mr Boag ASAP.<\/p>\n
