SmartSTEMs is a charity that we have worked with for 6 years now, who inspire and engage our S1 students with all things STEM.\u00a0 Every year a number of our S1 students would attend a smartSTEMs event and hear from industry leaders about the interesting, creative and varied STEM careers open to them. Students would also have the opportunity to get hands-on with technologies such as drones, cyber security and many others.<\/p>\n

With all SmartSTEMs events cancelled they are looking to create a series of short STEM related videos on two things:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. #MyJob – what STEM field you work in and what skills that mainly involves.<\/li>\n
  2. #MyJourney – the route you took to get to where you are today.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If there are any parents or carers, working in a STEM job, who are willing to share their experiences, then please register your details directly with SmartSTEMs<\/a>. Please be aware that the STEM videos will be uploaded on to the SmartSTEMs YouTube Channel and could be shared with schools as far afield as London and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
