Welcome to Maths Week Scotland<\/a>, a brand new initiative to help everyone in our nation see maths more positively.\u00a0 Our aim is\u00a0for everyone to experience the benefits, joy and beauty of maths in exciting new ways.<\/p>\n

Mindset<\/h6>\n

To encourage all students to think of maths as an interesting and brilliant subject, we have been watching some short maths videos:<\/p>\n

    Junior School<\/h6>\n

    This week our junior school have been enjoying some problem-solving tasks in Maths. If you fancy having a go,\u00a0try calculating\u00a062 x 33 using Chinese Multiplication<\/a>\u00a0(watch the first\u00a030secs of the video only).<\/p>\n

    In addition all S1 & S2 students have been given SUMDOG logins to allow them to compete in the Sumdog – Maths Week Contest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Senior School<\/h6>\n

    Senior students have also been working on problem-solving skills involving NRich tasks like A Square of Numbers<\/a>. They have also been enjoying some very <\/strong>competitive games of Kahoot<\/a>.<\/p>\n
