All young people and staff have the right to feel happy, safe and included. UNICEF UK GOLD RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL AWARD<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA)<\/a>\u00a0recognises achievement in putting the\u00a0United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC)<\/a> at the heart of a school\u2019s planning, policies, practice and ethos. A rights-respecting school not only develops knowledge about\u00a0 rights but also models rights and respect in all its relationships: between teachers \/ adults and pupils, between adults and between pupils.<\/p>\n

\nWhat is Gold Rights Respecting?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gold Rights Respecting award is granted by UNICEF UK to schools that have fully embedded children\u2019s rights throughout the school in its policies, practice and ethos, as outlined in the RRSA Strands and Outcomes<\/p>\n

Barrhead High school is extremely proud to have achieved Gold Rights Respecting School status.<\/p>\n
