– Modern Languages Department Overview

At all levels, pupils’ skills are developed in the foreign language in Listening & Talking, Reading and Writing. Pupils learn to communicate in French in relevant and realistic contexts and develop skills required to be effective lifelong learners of languages and an awareness of the interconnected nature of language learning. Emphasis is also placed on gaining understanding about the social, cultural and geographical aspects of other countries and the importance of language skills in the global marketplace.
