Welcome to the English department. Most students will study English in S1-S5, and many will take English in S6 too. Within the department, through BGE, National 4, 5, Higher and Advanced Higher, we will help all young people reach their potential and achieve as highly as possible.  In classes, we focus on reading, writing, talking and listening. You will study a wide range of literature and hopefully, you will develop a life long love of reading.

There are also lots of excellent extra-curricular opportunities, involving creative writing, debate, film club and a host of trips and days out that you can be part of. Our priority is to help and support all young people through lots of hard work, and even a little bit of fun.
