In P.E we were learning about different possession games.
We were working on our skills in controlling a ball, passing a ball and dribbling a ball.
We learned about the importance of being a good team players and of playing different roles within a team – being attackers and defenders.
We tried a new game called handball which combined all of the skills we had been learning.
We investigated children’s rights by looking at the UNCRC articles. We looked at the rights that would apply within our classroom. Each group came up with 6 class rules based on these rights. We then looked at similar rules and narrowed this down to 6 rules for our class charter.
In PE we have been practising our overarm throw. We were working in pairs using a ball and then played games using beanbags. We found out that we can complete an overarm throw using both balls and beanbags.
