“The princess had a frog and it ate a spider”.

Why are stories so important for young children?

Apart from the pleasure that telling a story can give to both teller and listener, they’re a marvellous method for learning a whole range of topics and interests that are relevant for children today. It’s also a very important way of connecting with your child and extending their vocabulary.
