We looked at the Architecture of the building with the influences of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
“I would like to make a picture using the shape.”
“I think our mummies and helpers had great fun to.”
We have been learning how people in the past live by going on a nursery trip, with parents, to Scotland Street School which opened in the 1906. We started our journey from the nursery travelling to Glasgow on the school bus.
Scotland Street School is a must-see for fans of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and tells the story of education in Scotland from the late 19th century to the late 20th century.
You can try out your design skills in the Mackintosh room on touch-screen computer. The hands-on interactive displays let you experience the classes of yesteryear in the Back to School role playing programme.
