Some children were in the garden with plastic bottles to see what they could do with them. The bottles were full of water and different materials including, glitter, oil, and sparkles and the children estimated how many they could hold and lift up. “I can hold 5” said a child before trying to pick up and hold or lift the heavy bottles. Then someone had an idea of “let’s play knock the balls.” She set up the bottles carefully in a line with the help of some of the boys and then threw the football at them. But the bottles were very heavy and didn’t fall over so someone decided to kick the ball which knocked one of them over. The children took it in turns to throw or kick the ball at the bottles and then carefully helped each other put the balls back before one of the boys decided to call the game “it’s called knock the bottle.”
