Environmental print. I can recognise some signs and words.

“ASDA, I get toys there. I get cheese strings and apples”

“Power Rangers!” “I like the blue one. He has a sword.”

“Toilets.” “Which one is the ladies?” “This one.” “How do you know?” “Cause she’s got a dress on.”

The children are recognising the environmental print that surrounds them in the world. We are recognising road signs too and labels on packaging and shop signs. The children have also been recognising the first initial of their name and objects we use. An alphabet wall has been created in the playroom. This is interactive whereby the children are findings items with a specific letter and placing them on the wall. Please feel free to bring in pictures of objects and logos to continue creating our literacy wall.

Thank you.
