The children have been investigating how ice turns into water. They counted 10 ice cubes into a bowl and talked about how the ice felt cold when they touched it. A digital thermometer was used to measure the temperature of the ice. Then hot water was added to the bowl and the children noticed the ice in the bowl had disappeared. “It’s melted.” The parents got involved with the children’s learning when some children put water in their freezer at home. The children then reported to their friends what happened.
