skittle 1

The children had previously made skittles from recycled materials. They understood that they needed 10 skittles in order to play a game of ten-pin bowling. The children used a ball initially to knock the skittles down. In order to make it more challenging, we used the remote-control cars so that we could make comparisons. The children noticed it was more difficult with the car to knock the skittles down, as it wasn’t “heavy enough.”  They also noticed that some of the bottles were “heavy” and some were “light and soft.”
