Some of the children noticed that we only had four skittles and could recognise that we needed more to play a game of ten pin bowling. Through the activity, the children explored different materials that they could use to create their own skittles. Through the process, the children were making comparisons between heavy and light.

There are only four skittles. We need more. My Mummy got me new skittles. Paw Patrol but I don’t know how many.

We could use plastic bottles. They are too fall-y. I only used my hand and they fell down.

We could put lots of stuff in it to make it heavy.

You can lift this one but this is strong and this one is not strong. Look at me I can lift this. I am strong.
