Two-year-old nursery provision

Over the last year we have been expanding our provision to welcome two-year-olds into our centre.  If you know someone who might be eligible click here to check.

Our two-year-olds will be a major focus of our improvement work this year as we seek to discover the answers to the following questions:

What are the potential positive outcomes for two-year children who attend an Early Learning and Childcare Setting?
  1. How does early learning and childcare provision impact on children’s social and emotional wellbeing?
  2. How does early learning and childcare provision impact on children’s language development?
  3. How do these young children form relationships with their key person, other adults and other children in the early learning and childcare setting?
  4. How do early years professionals support the wellbeing and development of two-year-old children?

Rosamund had the opportunity to meet with an international group of researchers at Strathclyde University to talk about our focus on the needs of two-year-olds and will be keeping in touch with members of the New Zealand team who are also interested in this area.  Exciting times ahead!
