Peer assessment and proof reading is an integral part of the writing process.  In the first instance, proof reading was encouraged after every chapter was written to ensure that the writing was evaluated at natural breaks.

Once the shorts stories were finished the class participated in a detailed peer assessment process that focused on evaluating the if the ideas flowed, if the story made sense and correct punctuation.

To get further opinions of their short stories  P6.22 were recruited as editors to get further pointers on the next steps for the stories.

In order to kick start the writing process P6.21 took part in a walk and write about that asked them to evaluate and provide their opinion on what they saw and felt about an image given to them. This image turned into the starting point for their future short stories.
