Designers and creators

The class were now ready to start the next step in creating their novels. The class followed a series of instructions to fold a piece of A3 paper in a way that replicates a book.

Once the books were made, the design process could begin. The front cover, blurb and illustrations were created using inspiration from their stories.  Once the illustrations and borders had been completed the final draft of their short stories were written into their novels.

A Mexican Fiesta

P6.21 rounded off their Gastronomers pathway by hosting a Mexican Fiesta! The class worked in groups to research a Mexican state, create decorations and prepare some Mexican cuisine. On menu at the Mexican Fiesta  you would have found Fajitas, Tacos, Quesadillas and a tomato and avocado salsa.

The class also requested that their Mexican fiesta  involved live music. Well done to Lewis, Ruby and Catherine for performing live on the day!

OPERATION HALLOWEEN

As part of their Mearns Masters pathway P6.21 created a campaign that focused on reducing textile and plastic waste used to  create Halloween costumes.

P6 decided to design and make their own Halloween costumes from clothing, fabric and items they already had at home.

The class enjoyed being able to showcase their creations with the school and loved wearing their own creations!
