OPERATION HALLOWEEN

As part of their Mearns Masters pathway P6.21 created a campaign that focused on reducing textile and plastic waste used to  create Halloween costumes.

P6 decided to design and make their own Halloween costumes from clothing, fabric and items they already had at home.

The class enjoyed being able to showcase their creations with the school and loved wearing their own creations!

The Fast Fashion Industry

As part of our Mearns Masters pathway, the Campaigners, P6.21 have been researching both the environmental impact and the rights of the workers.

They were tasked with comparing the rights of the workers within the United Kingdom to those of a country of their choice.

The class were then given a scenario based challenged linked to some of the working conditions that the workers in the factories would face.

Some comments from their experience:

Isla: “How do the managers think they can boss people about like that!”

Zach: “There is no way I would want to work in a factory after that!”

Holly: “I didn’t think that was going to be as hard as that to get all the hats the same, I need to work faster!”
