Water Safety

Good weather means that we may be spending more time outside and it is important to always keep safe. Today we are thinking about how to keep safe around water.

Activities

See if you can spot all the hazards in this water safety game

Tell a member of your family how to keep safe around water

Use natural materials to create your own mini pond or river scene

Challenge!

The next time you are near water, see if you can find the safety equipment and look out for any real life hazards

Memories!

Some of the afternoon families wanted to create a photo memory for our wee ones. They have put together this beautiful love heart collage of the children making love heart shapes with their hands.

If you would like your child’s picture to be included, then please email a photo to gisaacs2414@gmail.com

Many thanks to Mrs Isaacs for organising.

Pushing and Pulling

Pushing and pulling are opposite forces and today we are going to explore them in the world around us.

Activities

Walk around your home looking for things that you would push or pull each day, some examples are light switches, doors and zips

Watch this clip about forces

Use a toy car to explore what happens when you apply different forces

Create a marble maze
