Missing all our families! 💛
Over the next few weeks we will be celebrating and exploring People Who Help Us and the different jobs they do. If you have a family member that has one of the following jobs it would be lovely if they sent a photo and a brief description of their job to Mrs McConnalogue so that we can share it on our blog.
Medical Staff
Police Officer
Fire Fighter
Vet
Teacher
Dentist
If there is a job that is not on the list that you would like added just let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!
Just before the nursery closed, both morning and afternoon children participated in an experiment to find out what happens to bread when touched by hands.
We had 6 different bags:
1- touched by hands wearing gloves
2- touched by dirty hands
3- touched by hands washed in soap and hot water
4- touched by hands cleaned with hand sanitiser
5- wiped on used iPad
6- touched by hands washed in soap and cold water
The bread was put straight into bags and left for 3 weeks. The results showed that the only one with no mould was the bread handled by hands washed with soap and hot water.
Throughout the experiment, children discussed what they thought might happen.
Did you predict the outcomes correctly? What do the results tell us?
