Mrs Wight and Anna have discovered Cadoc Wood which is a great space for bike rides, walks and exploring nature.
Anna’s favourite thing to do is collect sticks and throw them in the river to see how far they will sail. When doing so, they talk about how long/short/thick/thin the sticks are and what properties make the them sail further.
They also see many butterflies at the moment which Anna is always amazed by. Discussion about pattern and symmetry often follow.
Lastly, Anna enjoys using the fallen tree trunks to practise her balancing skills.
Lots of everyday activities that present important learning opportunities for our wee ones.
Anna, that looks like a great place to visit!
