{"id":490,"date":"2021-11-14T17:54:35","date_gmt":"2021-11-14T17:54:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/2019mps419\/?p=490"},"modified":"2021-11-15T14:38:19","modified_gmt":"2021-11-15T14:38:19","slug":"literacy-remembrance-day-poetry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/er\/2019mps419\/2021\/11\/14\/literacy-remembrance-day-poetry\/","title":{"rendered":"Literacy &#8211; Remembrance Day Poetry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Remembrance Day this week our class took a closer look at some famous poetry, namely the well known &#8216;Flanders Field&#8217; poem by John McCrae, who was <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">an army doctor, in 1915 during the First World War.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Flanders Fields is a name given to several First World War battlegrounds which were situated near the border of France and Belgium.
