Onomatopoeia!
We created poems using onomatopoeia.

We became archaeologists to discover what the Viking diet was like. We found out they ate bread, fruit and fish.
Values Day!
We celebrated our school values today and had a lot of fun. We watched a magic show, designed t-shirts, took part in a silent disco and watched the “Hairy Hippies” concert.
Viking bread
After investigating the Viking diet, P4.20 baked some Viking bread!
WELCOME BACK – week 2 of STEM Fortnight
It was lovely to see all our class back together again.
Throughout the week we carried out lots of different STEM activities. Have a look below to see some of what we have been doing this week.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
We have enjoyed doing some Christmas maths this week. We created some symmetrical snowflakes and used mental maths strategies to do Christmas colouring. We also had fun at our Christmas party!
Hearts for Homes
We have been learning about letter writing in class. We have also been talking about how this time of the year might be difficult for people who are not able to see family and friends. The class decided they would like to take part in the ‘Hearts for Homes’ campaign and send a decorated paper heart and message to the residents of a local care home. We hope this spreads a little bit of cheer!
All around the world with P4.20
This week some of the children have shared their learning about their chosen country. We were fascinated to hear about lion tamarins, poison dart frogs, football and trains in Brazil, the Tokyo Tower and … square watermelons in Japan! Also, the important festival of Eid and the iconic Sydney Opera House amongst others.
