What a glorious morning we had as we learned about alliteration while playing an orienteering game.
We also had fun using the orienteering punches and working in pairs following instructions and finding markers in the grass.
This was all after a great warm up practising lots of mental maths strategies.
Our main learning today involved using maps to find and match numbers and words on our different courses. We also learned how to describe routes and record routes using positional language.
Despite the heavy rain we enjoyed a fabulous morning outside playing some listening games and learning all about how to collect and organise different materials to represent different things on a map.
Here we are organising ourselves into a square to start off our lesson and here are some of our maps….fortunately we got some photos before they blew away!
