Scottish Robotics Games 2018

The Scottish Robotic Games started 13 years ago as a version of the popular Robot Wars television programme. The aim is to allow young people to work together to build a very complex electronic and construction assembly which is a remote controlled car. These robot cars then used in various technical competitions at the annual Scottish Robotics Games. The event also allows pupils to interact with professional engineers and apprentices from the sponsor company Leonardo – a large multinational engineering company.

The event and the activities leading up to it are a great way to introduce pupils to the careers and required skills/qualifications available in engineering today.
