In S2 our pupils begin by looking at the role The Media plays in our society, both socially and politically. After this unit they then look at Human Rights. Lessons are delivered in a variety of ways including research tasks and case studies. One of the main case studies we look at is Rwanda where pupils get to watch the 2004 film “Hotel Rwanda”.

Further to this, pupils continue to develop their understanding of Modern Studies skills including detecting bias or exaggeration and using sources to make a choice.
