Over the course of this year we will be updating this blog to be BIGGER and BETTER as part of our newly formed Humanities Faculty.

Modern Studies is becoming increasingly  popular each academic year.

Our BGE pupils in S1-S3 works towards level 4 Benchmarks looking at topics including Democracy in Scotland and the UK, Rich World Poor World, The Media, Human Rights and Terrorism.

Our Senior Phase pupils work towards National 4 and 5, Higher and Advanced Higher by further developing their understanding of Democracy and its’ processes, Crime and the Law, The USA as a World Power, Social Inequality and Development in Africa.

The wide range of topics in our subject ensure that our pupils do not only enjoy breadth, depth and challenge throughout their education but also develop skills for life, learning and work alongside being responsible citizens, effective contributors, successful learners and confident individuals.
