Thanks to everyone who supported our Malawi Coffee Morning this year. You helped us raise over £1300 for our sister school in Malawi. All our children had jobs to do for the event as well as performing Scottish songs and poems to keep everyone entertained. A fun packed day of real life learning and enterprise!

Dr Jamieson Visits P3b
Thanks to Dr Jamieson who is the aunt of one of our P3 pupils for coming in to help with the class’s ‘My Body’ topic. Dr Jamieson brought lots of interesting equipment to show the children who learned more about how the body works from her visit.
P5 Elections
The P5s have been busy with an enterprising topic about elections. The children organised a campaign to elect a class captain with campaign speeches, ballot boxes and votes. The children took responsibility for all aspects of the event and we might see a few of them going into politics in the future!! Well done P5!
Nursery Transition
Our second nursery transition day was great fun. The children had an art and technology lesson making teddy bears. They can’t wait to start school in August!
Fun Science!
Mrs Hemming and Mrs Dun’s Fun Science club was a great success with the P3-5s. Lots of active learning. Well done boys and girls!
Loving Maths through Music!
The children are enjoying the ‘Loving Maths Through Music’ project which every class in the school are taking part in. The project aims at giving children confidence with their number work by combining it with musical games and rhymes. Miss Karen Geoghan from the National Youth Choir of Scotland is working alongside class teachers using the Kodaly method of teaching music to model music lessons and we hope the benefits will be raised attainment in both maths and music work.
