Making lotions and potions in the outdoor area.

This developed language and number skills through pouring, counting, measuring and discussing what potions they were making

 

Block Play – cross curricular learning opportunities for all levels of development.  Children can take their imaginations on amazing journeys,  linking with the world around them.

 

Creative design in action – The children used many different techniques and imaginative skills to create images and models.

This week the children have been learning about Robert Burns and all  things Scottish.  They created thistles in the Art Area, designed and used real tools to make little haggis and of course tasted delicious Scottish foods.

 

Provocations – Literacy in action

This week in the story/literacy area the children are developing their knowledge of letters and sounds by identifying what some familiar words begin with.
