{"id":1219,"date":"2017-06-09T12:18:45","date_gmt":"2017-06-09T12:18:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ed\/bearsdenprimary\/?p=1219"},"modified":"2017-06-09T12:18:45","modified_gmt":"2017-06-09T12:18:45","slug":"health-week-12th-16th-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ed\/bearsdenprimary\/2017\/06\/09\/health-week-12th-16th-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Week 12th &#8211; 16th June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Primary 1-3<\/strong> will be having a Healthy Creations Picnic during the morning break on Friday 16<sup>th<\/sup> June.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary 4<\/strong> have a visit from Christie\u2019s the Butcher on Tuesday 13<sup>th<\/sup> June to make lean burgers with healthy toppings in the school kitchen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary 5<\/strong> have a visit from Grace and Favour on Wednesday 14<sup>th<\/sup> June to learn the importance of using local produce in achieving sustainability and how they adapt their menu for the different seasons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary 6<\/strong> will be creating a balanced and healthy lunch throughout the week. The winning entries from each class will be sent to EDC and will have the opportunity to be incorporated in our lunch menu by canteen staff next August.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary 7<\/strong> will be going to Massimo\u2019s on Wednesday 14<sup>th<\/sup> and Thursday 15<sup>th<\/sup> June where they will be learning how to prepare and make healthy pizzas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Health and Wellbeing Committee<\/strong> members will be visiting Marks and Spencer on Wednesday 14<sup>th<\/sup> June for a tour of the shop and to sample some healthy products.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Primary 1-3 will be having a Healthy Creations Picnic during the morning break on Friday 16th June.
