We are the Balmuildy Digital Leaders! Our mission is to encourage and help everyone in our school community to use digital devices to support their learning and make it fun!
We help by:
- making sure all our devices are looked after
- making sure all our devices are fully charged and ready to go
- helping our classmates solve problems and make good use of devices
- visiting other classes to help children and teachers use devices to help with learning.
Sharing our Knowledge
Our Digital Leaders visit other classes to help them learn how to use ICT.
Recently our Digital Leaders visited P1 and P2 classes to show them how to use the ChatterPix app on iPads. This fun app can be used to animate pictures and photos, and can also help children to share their work, by talking about what they have learnt.
Each week, some of our Digital Leaders visit one of our P3 classes to help them learn new skills, like how to log on to devices and use apps like Word.
Safer Internet Day 2026
This year we marked Safer Internet Day 2026, which was on Tuesday 10th February, by taking over the whole school assembly the week before!
We spoke to the whole school about how to stay safe online, including how to safely use AI (Artificial Intelligence), which was this year’s theme.
AI can be a really powerful tool to help us in our daily lives, but it can also be misused, so we must always remember to use it responsibly and check with a Trusted Adult if we are ever unsure or feel unsafe.
